Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has revealed Ben White will be out for months after undergoing knee surgery. The Gunners boss said White, the 27 year old has suffered multiple injuries and will undergo surgery during the international break.

“It’s a different battle, it’s the same problem but we have to make decisions. He’s not been better in the last few weeks, unfortunately,” Arteta said ahead of the home game against Forest.UFABET 

“We knew Ben White would push the limits. But there comes a point where we have to protect the player and we decided to have surgery,” he said.

“He agreed to that and it put him on hold for months.”

Asked about an exact timeframe, Arteta added: “We have to see how he reacts after the operation. I don’t think it’s going to be like six months or something. But I can’t say exactly how long.”

Arsenal are likely to have Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka back in contention. After both recovered from injuries sustained during the draw with Chelsea. Which saw them withdraw from the England squad.

Defender Riccardo Calafiori is also in contention to return for Saturday’s game after a month out with a knee problem. But Takehiro Tomiyasu remains sidelined.
